Susan Soest has been working in healthcare and geriatrics for the past 15 years. She provided geriatric care management services for seniors in San Diego County for several years prior to accepting a leadership role with Silverado at Home. Susan has trained, supervised and coached geriatric care managers in the Midwest and California.

Susan’s professional experience includes providing counseling, advocacy and hospital discharge planning services for older adults with chronic illnesses and traumatic injury. She has also provided individual and group therapy in outpatient psychiatric and clinic settings.

Susan received her Master’s degree in Social Service Administration/Social Work from the University of Chicago, and her undergraduate degree from Brown University. She is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the state of California; a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers (NAPGCM) and the NAPGCM Western Regional chapter; and a member of the National Association of Social Workers.

Kathleen DeLeo brings to Silverado seven years of experience in dementia care and health care for seniors. Her professional experience includes working with memory-impaired older adults in adult day health care; community organizing; providing education about hospice services; and conducting individual and group therapy sessions in hospital and community settings.

Kathleen received her Master's degree in Social Work and Public Health with a specialization in gerontology from Boston University. She received her undergraduate degree from Regis College. Kathleen is an Associate Clinical Social Worker, a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers (NAPGCM) and the NAPGCM Western Regional Chapter, and a member of the National Association of Social Workers. 

Shevonne has worked as a social worker with older adults and their families for several years. Prior to joining the Silverado At Home team, she served as Director of Resident & Family Services for Silverado Senior Living-Encinitas, an assisted living community for individuals with memory impairment. She also has prior experience in providing case management and home care services for seniors.

Shevonne received her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas-Arlington, and her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Texas Christian University. She is a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers (NAPGCM), and the NAPGCM Western Regional Chapter.

Bill Zuck has worked with older adults in a variety of settings, including with Kaiser Hospice and at Kaiser Hospital in San Diego.  His clinical experience includes providing individual and group therapy in a mental health clinic as well as providing care to residents in a substance abuse rehabilitation center.  Bill co-leads a support group for families affected by dementia.

Bill received his Master’s degree in Social Work from San Diego State University and has a Master’s degree in Music Composition. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Tufts University.  He is an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW) in the state of California and an associate member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers (NAPGCM), and the NAPGCM Western Regional Chapter.
