The following are examples of the types of home care clients that are served by Silverado At Home services:

• An 82 year old man with moderate dementia was hospitalized following a hip fracture. A care companion was hired to stay with him during his hospitalization so that he would not place weight on his hip and jeopardize the healing process.
• A 73 year old female was living at home alone and was recently diagnosed with early Alzheimer's disease. Following a comprehensive assessment, a care companion provided assistance 5 hours per day during weekdays while her daughter was at work. A geriatric care manager helped arrange additional support services for both the daughter and the client.
• A live-in care companion was hired to stay with a frail 93 year old female while her son and his wife went on a two week vacation to Europe.
• The family of a an 84 year old man hired a care manager to meet with his family a couple of times per month to assist them with the planning process relative to their father's care needs. He was beginning to have some mild memory problems and they wanted to be prepared if further changes occur.
• A comprehensive assessment was requested for a 68 year old female living in an independent living setting. She had begun to display some unusual behaviors and her family wanted some assistance with understanding them.
• The spouse of a 76 year old male with moderate to late Alzheimer's disease requested help with her husband due to her declining health. After an initial assessment, daily companion care was scheduled as well as ongoing care management. The well spouse began to show improvement in her own health.
• A Geriatric Care Manger was hired specifically to assist a family with the process of finding an assisted living environment that would be most conducive to their mother's level of functioning.
