Silverado Senior Living Executive Takes Top HR Award
Dawn Usher, senior vice president and chief administrative officer of Silverado Senior Living, has won the “HR Executive of the Year Award” from the National Human Resources Association – Orange County, Calif. In capturing the honor, Usher won over five other finalists from different companies. Silverado is headquartered in San Juan Capistrano, Calif.
Usher was nominated for the award by Silverado president & CEO Loren Shook. In selecting the winner, the award selection committee interviewed both Shook and Usher. The committee looked for evidence of tangible results by Usher in five areas, including innovation in human resources practices, leadership, and strategic impact as part of Silverado’s senior management team.
“The interview process was very challenging and it was also a wonderful opportunity to convey how Silverado’s human resources practices reflect our company’s overall culture and mission of providing world-class memory disorder care,” Usher said. “Being chosen as the winner from a finalist group representing such a range of distinguished companies is really an honor for Silverado as a whole.”
Loren Shook says: “Dawn Usher’s strategic vision and hard work have been integral in Silverado’s mission, both in terms of our commitment to improving the lives of those with memory disorders and our being an employer of choice, which is at the core of what we do. All of us at Silverado congratulate Dawn on this outstanding achievement.”
